We are seeking a Locum Tenens Physician Assistant - Neurology in Ohio.

Job Description

• Position Type: Locum to Perm
• Specialty: Physician - Neurology
• Location: Ohio
• Rate: Open & Negotiable
• Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts (6p 6a), 7 on/7 off or alternating 4/3 schedule
• Start Date: August 4, 2025
• End Date: February/March 2026

Position Details

• Patient Population: Adults (100%), Stroke and Trauma (40%)
• Setting: Hospital-Based, Level 1 Trauma Center, Comprehensive Stroke Center
• Responsibilities: Overnight coverage of 16-bed Neuro ICU and neurosurgical consults; backup from 2 off-site neuro intensivists by phone
• Required Procedures: Stroke management, neurocritical care
• EMR System: Epic
• Support Staff: 3 Advanced Practice Providers in group, lab and imaging onsite
• Days Per Month: Based on schedule
• On-Call/Weekends: No call; weekend shifts part of rotation

Requirements

• Board Certified/Board Eligible Physician Assistant required
• Active Ohio PA license (or willing to obtain) required
• BLS, ACLS required
• ENLS highly preferred
• Experience in neuro ICU and managing trauma/stroke patients required
• Must be able to work independently covering neuro ICU and neurosurgical consults at night required
