Join our team as a Locum Tenens Nurse Practitioner specializing in Surgery Cardiothoracic. This position is located in Cleveland, OH, and involves night 24-hour shifts with scheduled on-call requirements.

Job Description

• Patient population includes adult cardiac and thoracic surgery patients
• Setting involves operating room (OR), acute care hospital, ICU, and step-down management
• Responsibilities include 1st and 2nd assist in cardiothoracic surgeries, ICU and step-down management, rounding on weekends/holidays, and call coverage
• Required procedures include CABG, AVR, MVR, thoracic robotic surgery, VATS, open thoracotomy, saphenous vein harvesting, pacing wire removal, IABP manipulation/removal, and chest tube sclerosis
• EMR system used is Epic
• Support staff includes 2 cardiac surgeons, 1 thoracic surgeon, and 5 PAs
• Days per month vary with weekday shifts and call expectations
• On-call and weekend coverage required with 24-hour call (not in-house)

Requirements

• Active Ohio NP License
• ACLS Certification
• BLS Certification
• DEA & Ohio CSR
