Emergency Medicine Physician

Join our team at Sampson Regional Medical Center, a rural hospital setting that provides essential emergency care. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on patient care.

Job Description

• Standard Emergency Medicine coverage for 12-hour shifts, 7 PM to 7 AM.
• Manage an annual patient volume of 34,000, with 80-100 patients seen daily.
• Open ICU with one physician and two mid-level providers covering shifts from 9 AM to 9 PM and 12 PM to 12 AM.
• Specialist back-up available for severe trauma, stroke, and heart cases, which will be transferred by ground or air to a tertiary facility 45 minutes to 1 hour away.

Requirements

• Must have an active North Carolina license and NC DEA.
• Providers must be credentialed with Medicare and enrolled with PECOS as a provider.
• Board Certified in Emergency Medicine preferred, but will accept ATLS certified if Board Certified in Family Medicine.
