Emergency Room Travel Nurse - Crow Reservation, Montana
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Emergency Room Travel Nurse to join our healthcare team at the Crow Reservation in Montana. The ideal candidate will be skilled in providing emergency and trauma care, with a deep understanding of rural healthcare challenges and the resilience to adapt to a dynamic work setting.
Job Description
- Provide high-quality emergency and trauma care to patients of all ages in a fast-paced ER setting.
- Triage and assess patients, administer medications, perform wound care, and initiate emergency interventions as necessary.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care and ensure continuity.
- Record patient data, symptoms, and responses to treatments accurately in the EMR system.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families, demonstrating cultural sensitivity and empathy.
- Maintain compliance with hospital protocols and procedures and uphold a commitment to quality patient care.
Requirements
- Active RN license in Montana or any active license.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of ER experience, including experience in rural or reservation-based healthcare.
- BLS, ACLS certification.
- Strong assessment, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Ability to work well independently and adapt to different team dynamics.
- Cultural sensitivity and experience working with Native American communities is a plus.
Benefits
- Pay: $50 per hour plus stipend.
- Travel Nurse Contract (13 weeks with possibility of extension).
- Full-time position with variable shifts (including nights, weekends, and holidays).
