Registered Nurses (RN) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN)

MedFirst Staffing, a Joint Commission certified provider of healthcare staffing services, is recruiting Registered Nurses (RN) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) for full-time positions at state adult correctional facilities located throughout Western Virginia. Highly competitive W-2 wages (paid weekly) and travel reimbursement are available for eligible employees. 12-hour day and night shift positions are available. Candidates must be able to work 3 twelve-hour shifts per week (36 hours), including every other weekend. Candidates must also be able to complete onboarding requirements and begin their assignment in a timely manner.

Job Description

• Conduct health assessments and sick call for inmates
• Administer medications and treatments
• Provide health education and counseling
• Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals
• Monitor inmates' health
• Treat inmates' health conditions and injuries
• Supervise nursing assistants

Requirements

• Current Virginia or compact RN/LPN License
• Current CPR/BLS Certification
• Current PPD
• Negative Drug Screen
• Background Check
