Anesthesiologist

Join our team at a Level 1 trauma center with a collaborative environment. This position offers a variety of practice settings, including the main OR, outpatient surgery center, and endoscopy center.

Job Description

• Requires weekly availability; prefer not to rotate weeks on/weeks off
• Schedule options include 4x10 hour shifts or 3x12-13 hour shifts each week, plus 1 rotating Saturday each month; NO CALL
• Locations include Main OR, outpatient surgery center, and endoscopy center with the option to practice at any location
• Patient population includes ages 13 and up, including end-of-life care
• The anesthesia team covers 33 ORs in the main OR, 16 offsite anesthesia locations, 12 outpatient surgery ORs, and 3-4 stand-alone GI center rooms
• EMR used is Epic
• Hospital bed size is 600
• Skills required include the ability to place and manage arterial lines and comfort with titrating vasoactive medication infusions (norepinephrine, phenylephrine, nicardipine, etc.)
• Cases not performed include open heart/thoracic, pediatrics, obstetrics, and peripheral nerve blocks

Requirements

• Covid and flu vaccines are required; exemptions will not be approved
• Board certification is required
• Virginia medical license is required
• DEA is not required
• Credentialing timeframe is a minimum of 30 days
