Physician - Emergency Medicine

Location: North Dakota

Job Description:

• Work in both inpatient and outpatient settings
• Provide care to a variety of patients with acute concerns ranging from mild to complex
• Perform necessary procedures including intubations, chest tubes, central lines, critical care, procedural sedation, airway management, OB/GYN, and deliveries, and adult and pediatric resuscitation
• 12-hour shifts with 24 hours of physician coverage, flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Collaborate with APPs during peak hours

Requirements:

• BC/BE in Emergency Medicine or Family Medicine (other specialties considered with EM experience)
• Must have PALS, ATLS, ACLS certifications
• ND Medical License and DEA without restrictions, or ability to obtain
• ABEM preferred; FM/IM accepted with extensive ED experience including trauma (at least 3 years with a minimum of 250 case logs in the last year)
• Prior work in level II trauma center or academic center

Facility Details:

• 25-bed hospital with a 4-bed open ICU
• Typical inpatient census is 8-15 patients per day with 2-3 admissions per day
• EMR: Meditech
• Flexible block scheduling and supportive administrative team
