MedStar Medical Group is currently seeking pediatric hospitalist physicians to join our team in full-time, part-time, and PRN positions for our amazing program at MedStar St. Mary's Hospital. Our pediatric hospitalists will have responsibility for providing high-quality medical care to pediatric patients admitted in our newborn nurseries and ER consults.
MedStar St. Mary's Hospital, nestled in the waterside community of Leonardtown, Maryland, is a 120-bed, full-service hospital, delivering state-of-the-art emergency, acute inpatient, and outpatient care. Our pediatric hospitalists cover newborn nursery, attend high-risk deliveries, and C-sections.
St. Mary's County offers highly rated school systems, low crime rates, and affordable estate feel living that will not cost you millions of dollars. One hour away from Washington D.C., residents have the luxury of two major airports, Dulles International and Reagan National, nearby. Baltimore, Philadelphia, New York City, and Richmond, VA are also within a reasonable drive.
Job Description
- Provide high-quality medical care to pediatric patients admitted in newborn nurseries and ER consults
- Cover newborn nursery and attend high-risk deliveries and C-sections
Requirements
- Current Maryland licensure/eligibility
- Board-certified/board-eligible in pediatrics
- Recent pediatric hospitalist experience
- Skills in neonatal resuscitation following current NRP guidelines, including intubation and line placement
- Management of general pediatric disorders and stabilization prior to transport
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with a wide array of professionals

Compensation Information
This position has a hiring range of $170,044 - $222,594. Base compensation with Quality Metric Bonuses available.
