Sonographer
Job Description:
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound exams (e.g., evaluate the uterus, ovaries, kidneys, liver, pancreas, gall bladder, breast, vessels, fetus, etc.)
- Provide the Radiologist or ordering physician with technical and diagnostic interpretation of exams
- Communicate effectively with sick, injured, or disabled patients to record medical histories
- Explain diagnostic procedures, provide pre-exam instructions, and verify patient's/caregiver's understanding of instructions
- Schedule patient procedures and provide medical procedure and care considering age, growth, and development
- Transport patients from ED and other patient care areas
- Respond to emergencies outside of normal work hours
Requirements:
- Two (2) years of clinical Ultrasound experience, or certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers required
- Certified by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers if no evidence of comparable qualification within one (1) year of registry eligibility
Hours:
- 40 per pay (every two weeks)
