    Job Description

    Requirements

    • Education: Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program.
    • Licensure: Responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed, meeting all state board of nursing requirements.
    • Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of the course within 30 days of hire.
    • Physical requirements/demands:
      • Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
      • Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift.
      • Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.

    Unit Information

    7B - We offer an immense selection of experiences through our management of complex diagnoses and patient needs with many learning opportunities. This environment provides a strong foundation in nursing and clinical skills. The unit serves the medical-surgical population by managing chronic and acute onset diseases. The types of patients we serve are those with multi-system management needs such as infectious disease, wound management, pneumonia, sepsis, COPD, diabetes and gastrointestinal conditions, and post-surgical patients. We also coordinate management of patients needing surgical interventions, EGD, colonoscopy, outpatient infusion/chemo, and anti-coagulation therapies.
