Licensed Practical Nurse

Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care under the supervision of person(s) licensed by a State regulatory board to prescribe medication and treatment, or under the direction of a Registered Professional Nurse (RN). Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments.

Requirements

• Education: Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program; consideration will be given for comparable education experience and successful licensure.
• Licensure: Responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current LPN license within the hiring state and must meet all State Board of Nursing requirements.
• Experience: Can be new or experienced LPN.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of the course within 30 days of hire. Additional certifications may be required based on the position/unit hired to.

Physical Requirements

• Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
