Job Description:

Main Facility Details:

• Board requirement: BC/BE
• Board requirement (Example EM, FM, IM): ABEM/AOBEM
• Life Support Certifications Required: ACLS required if not ABEM certified
• COVID vaccine/exemption required: Yes

Locum Coverage Assessment:

• Reason for Locum need: Currently short
• How many shifts per month in Locum Coverage will help stabilize the program: 20-24
• Is the Locum Coverage needed short-term (3-6 months) or long-term (6+ months): Short term
• Temp/Emergency Privileges granted: Yes with clean files and an active license
• Start Date: ASAP

Program Details:

• Annual Patient Volume: 100k at all other facilities
• Patients per Hour: 2-3
• ED Bed Count: 90 at Main Hospital
• Shift Times / Coverage Details: Depends on the facility, some sites are 10 hours and some are 12 hours
• Scribe Coverage: None
• Dictation available for locums: Dragon
• EMR: Cerner
• Admitting Orders: Is the ED Physician responsible for writing the orders? Only the admission
