Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant
Job Description:
- Specialize in physical and rehabilitation medicine, focusing on pain management and related areas
- Enhance the overall well-being of residents within the skilled nursing facility
- Utilize advanced pain management techniques
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
- Stay abreast of the latest developments in physiatry
Compensation:
- Full Time: $130,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year + up to $5,000 in monthly incentives

Responsibilities:
- Perform routine check-ups to assess health conditions and identify potential issues
- Improve quality of life for patients by collaborating with rehab teams for better outcomes
- Track and monitor patients' progress in therapy by mitigating roadblocks such as pain
- Conduct examinations in response to acute changes in patient condition
- Communicate effectively with resident families or representatives regarding resident status
- Manage and prescribe pharmaceuticals
- Collaborate with providers, nursing staff, and administration to enhance patient care
- Connect internal medicine and rehabilitation services to improve patient care
- Attend virtual office hours and educational lectures
Requirements:
- Hold a medical degree from an accredited program
- Be board certified in the relevant field of practice
- Maintain an active New York license to practice
- Exhibit a self-driven and proactive approach to tasks
- Possess a strong understanding of examination methodologies and diagnostics
- Have broad knowledge of common medications, including side effects and contraindications
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Uphold a commitment to patient confidentiality
- Be compassionate and approachable in patient interactions
