    Internal Medicine Program Director

    Montefiore Medical Center & Albert Einstein College of Medicine seek a physician with unique vision, enthusiasm, and experience to serve as Internal Medicine Program Director (Moses/Weiler campus). The ideal candidate is an academic physician with expertise in medical education and administration of a large and dynamic group of faculty and learners. The next Program Director will lead initiatives vital to the evolution of medical education, specific to our patient population, and foster a mission-driven group of faculty and residents. The Residency Program Director is responsible for program administration and operations, residents recruitment and selection; education in the context of patient care; supervision; assessment, promotion, and disciplinary actions; scholarly activity; and for the establishment of an effective learning climate at all teaching sites. Candidates report to the Department of Medicine Chair and must possess the qualities required to be a successful leader in a complex multidisciplinary environment, including working collaboratively across various divisions and effectively promoting the program within the institution and without.     Job Description

    Requirements

    • Medical Degree from an accredited university
    • New York State Medical License (or eligible)
    • Board Certified in Internal Medicine
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Graduate Medical Education
    • Effective professional management skills, including the ability to plan, organize, and schedule work efficiently
    • Outstanding interpersonal, leadership, mentoring, and teaching skills
    • Strong work ethic and desire to participate in team-oriented, performance-driven health system
    • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in person, on the phone, and in writing
    • Ability to build and lead high-performing teams
