    Developmental and Behavioral Child Adolescent Psychiatrist

    Montefiore Medical Center is seeking a BE/BC Child/Adolescent Psychiatrist for the Rose F. Kennedy Children's Evaluation and Rehabilitation Center of the Children's Hospital at Montefiore. Located in the Bronx, it has easy access to New York City and its suburbs. The Children's Hospital at CHAM is consistently listed in the U.S. News & World Report's best children's hospitals in the area.

    The Rose F. Kennedy/CERC at CHAM has gained a national and international reputation for providing superior diagnostic and treatment services to children with special needs. Its mission is to help children with neurodevelopmental and behavioral disorders and complex medical needs achieve their maximum potential while providing guidance and support to their families, as well as education and community outreach. The multidisciplinary team at the RFK/CERC includes developmental behavioral pediatricians, psychologists, physiatrists, audiologists, speech-language pathologists, social workers, occupational therapists, and physical therapists among other professionals. It also has nationally renowned educational and advocacy grants including LEND and UCEDD.

    • Collaborate with RFK-CERC team on special projects, including but not limited to program development, research, and quality improvement
    • Teach medical students and residents on clinical rotations
    • Participate in one or more multidisciplinary teams at the center
    • Full-time or part-time position available
    • Provide diagnostic and treatment services utilizing a family-centered approach for children with ASD/ID/DD
    • Provide psychopharmacology management for ADHD, ASD, and other neurodevelopmental conditions that may require medical intervention
    • Provide consults to Developmental Behavioral pediatricians for diagnostic clarification and medication management for patients with dual developmental and psychiatric diagnoses
    • Provide training and supervision to Developmental and Behavioral Pediatric fellows, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry fellows, community pediatricians, and Developmental Behavioral Pediatricians in psychotropic medication management and psychiatric topics
    • Contribute to UME teaching and small group facilitation
