A Hospitalist Physician Family Medicine practice is seeking a qualified physician for Thomasville, NC. North Carolina Moonlighting Hospitalists are needed for day and night shifts!

Job Description

• Performing admissions and consults for the Internal Medicine Hospitalist service
• Providing cross-cover services, as needed, to the patients already on the Hospitalist service
• During the day shifts, responsible for rounding on service patients and discharging service patients as needed
• Required to attend discharge rounds at 8:00 am and care conferences at 1:00 pm during day shifts

Requirements

• EPIC/Dimensions training is a requirement for all providers before they can pick up shifts. This is only offered during the week, usually on Tuesday or Wednesday during daytime hours. All doctors who are accepted must be able to complete this and have availability during the week at least once to do so.
• Length of training depends on whether the candidate has worked with EPIC previously:
  • If yes, one day (7 hours only)
  • If no, 2 full days
• After training, a 2-hour onsite orientation is required

Benefits

• Pay rate: $140/hour
• Malpractice with tail provided at no charge
• Standard IRS mileage will be paid if traveling more than 50 miles each way to the hospital
