Job Description:
- Perform routine and STAT laboratory analysis on blood and body fluids.
- Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency in laboratory operations.
- Maintain and operate laboratory equipment, including Laboratory analyzers and Point of Care Devices.
- Complete all documentation and record-keeping requirements.
- Assist Patient Care staff with Phlebotomy when necessary.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field preferred.
- Certification by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists, or equivalent, preferred.
- Minimum of one year of laboratory experience preferred.
- Effective communication and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work under stress and adapt to change.
- Professionalism and the ability to maintain good relationships with patients, co-workers, and physicians.
- Flexibility to cover different shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Professional Development:
- Responsible for individual education and training requirements.
- Participate in performance improvement processes and site safety teams.
- Attend departmental meetings and assist in maintenance of departmental compliance with regulatory readiness.
