Family Nurse Practitioner

Mountain Community Health Partnership (MCHP) is seeking a full-time Family Nurse Practitioner to join our team based in Mitchell County in Western North Carolina. This is an outpatient-only position with no inpatient rounding. Our providers offer preventative care for children and adults, treatment of chronic and acute conditions including same-day walk-in visits. The medical provider will adhere to evidence-based guidelines as appropriate and participate in quality improvement activities. The FNP will have a large scope of practice, including direct provision of care. In addition to providing outpatient medical care, duties include, but are not limited to, complying with all MCHP goals for the practice. They must display knowledge of normal signs of human development and the ability to assess and provide age-appropriate and culturally sensitive care. The FNP must maintain the privacy of all patients, employees, and volunteer information, accessing such information only on a need-to-know basis for business purposes. Finally, utilizing a team-based approach, they are responsible for providing comprehensive, high-quality, and culturally sensitive rural primary care.

The FNP will maintain current knowledge of policies and procedures as they relate to safe work and practices. The position may require the FNP to see patients at more than one site.

Requirements

• Must have completed a family nurse practitioner program at an accredited institution
