Pharmacy Manager

Responsible for the management, oversight, and operations of all aspects within the pharmacy.

Job Description

• Ensure staffing optimization positively impacts quality of care and patient experience
• Enforce pharmacy policies and procedures
• Perform pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management
• Accountable for safe medication storage, diversion monitoring, and other pharmacy inventory activities
• Resolve patient complaints and answer questions to ensure a positive patient experience
• Assist Human Resources with talent management life cycle including recruiting, onboarding, mentoring/developing, engagement, training, retention, performance management, and succession planning
• Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal laws and regulations
• Ensure compliance with all applicable TJC standards and elements of performance (EPs)

Requirements

• Bachelors or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited college or university
• Current and unrestricted Florida Pharmacy License
• Not on the DEA Excluded Parties List

• Excellent communication skills that will foster trust, clear vision, and mutual respect
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to resolve employee, client, and patient issues with a strong service mentality
• Ability to identify areas of opportunity, develop a plan of action to improve, implement, and evaluate the plan effectively
• Proficient in Microsoft applications such as Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Experience opening a new pharmacy (preferred)
