    Job Description

    • Assures optimum quality patient care by serving as a resource person for other staff members, patients, and family.
    • Coordinates patient care with other departments and assists the physician.
    • Oversees treatment of medical and surgical patients needing dialysis procedures.
    • Dialysis delivery of care includes assessment, problem identification, interventions and treatments, and evaluation of actual, potential or perceived physical or psychological problems.
    • Procedures or treatments provided in Dialysis include but are not limited to: dialysis admission assessment, medication, IV therapy, administration of blood and blood products, pain control, O2 therapy, assisting physician with Quintons, dressing application and changes, Quinton Cath, declotting Quinton catheters, accessing AV shunt for diagnostic tests i.e. venograms, monitoring patient continually during Hemoreplacement treatment.

    Requirements

    • Current state RN license
    • Associates degree from an accredited nursing school
    • Certifications: ACLS, BCLS
    • One year of experience preferred
