Inpatient Medical Director
Our hospital is a state-of-the-art, 40-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital that opened in 2021. We provide customized intensive rehabilitation services to people recovering from disabling diseases or injuries, such as stroke, spinal cord injury, brain injury, and complex medical and neurological disorders.
Job Description
- Attend team conferences covering regulatory clinical team to ensure compliance and pharmaceutical aspects regarding medications, patient safety, and quality of care.
- Collaborate with the medical executive committee.
- Review KPIs and discharges.
- The physician will have a clinical focus on general physical medicine and rehabilitation.
- Assess and manage patients with long-term functional limitations; develop a plan of care in consultation with other specialists.
- The ideal candidate must be proficient in managing medically complex patients and comfortable taking care of a variety of rehab-related diagnoses on the unit.
- Lead a team of medical professionals, which may include physical therapists as well as occupational therapists, with the goal of optimizing patient care.
- Monitor ongoing progress and health of patients and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
- Provide tools and guidance that allow patients to adapt and improve overall health and physical functioning.
- Counsel patients as well as their families.
- Additional procedural opportunities may be available, including botulinum toxin injections, baclofen pump management, and EMGs.
Requirements
- Flexible structure: W-2 employee with benefits or without benefits, W-2 employee with APP or without APP, 1099 with APP or without APP.
- Full-time, part-time, and PRN opportunities available; 36 hours per week is full-time - round in the morning and document from home.
- "Locum" style travel contract opportunities available.
