Surgical Supply Technician

This position is responsible for ensuring that all surgical supplies, instruments, and equipment are properly inventoried, decontaminated, assembled, inspected, packaged, sterilized, stored, distributed, and tracked in a quality and timely manner throughout the hospital.

Job Description

• Ensure proper inventory management of surgical supplies, instruments, and equipment
• Decontaminate, assemble, inspect, package, sterilize, store, distribute, and track surgical items

Requirements

• Experience with instruments, sterilization, and decontamination area preferred
• Basic computer knowledge
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
• Ability to receive and give constructive feedback
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with little or no supervision
• Ability to learn concepts and apply them to work
• Ability to work standing and perform physical tasks such as bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 pounds without special equipment or assistance

Education

• Required: High School or Equivalent
