Surgical Technician

Under the direction of a licensed professional nurse, assist in the delivery of direct primary care to the patient experiencing elective or emergency surgical intervention. Primary function is to assist with surgical procedures.

• Assist with surgical procedures under the direction of a licensed professional nurse

Requirements

• One to two years of OR Tech or position-related experience
• Knowledge of aseptic technique, broad range of instrumentation, and sterilization processing
• Basic computer skills
• Required: BLS (Basic Life Support) from AHA (American Heart Association)
• Preferred: CST (Certified Surgical Technologist)
• Required: High School or Equivalent
• Preferred: Associates - Related Field, Bachelors - Related Field
