Job Description:
- Plan and implement therapeutic activities for geriatric, adult, and adolescent patients, including arts and crafts, outdoor activities, or sports and movement programs.
- Serve as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team providing services to patients with emotional or substance abuse problems.
- Maintain knowledge and participate in training on occupational health hazards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct group and individual sessions using art therapy, movement therapy, physical therapy, occupational rehabilitation, exercise, games, or leisure activities.
- Develop and implement activity therapy treatment plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary treatment team.
- Provide individual activity therapy as ordered by the patient's physician.
- Communicate with community resources to schedule hospital groups for therapies like canine therapy, music therapy, and equestrian therapy.
Administrative Assignments:
- Evaluate patient progress and document results.
- Contribute to discharge planning.
- Perform clinical and administrative tasks and support Adjunctive Therapist Aides.
- Commit to quality and process improvement.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology or related field with certification in music, art, physical, occupational, or recreation therapy.
- One year of experience in a healthcare field emphasizing activities and/or recreational therapy.
- Current CPR certification (or obtained within 30 days of hire).
- Knowledge of psychiatric and addictive disease diagnoses and treatment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
