Inpatient Psychiatrist
The Department of Psychiatry at South Oaks Hospital is seeking a full-time inpatient psychiatrist to provide clinical leadership and direct care for our busy unit at South Oaks Hospital in Amityville, NY. The ideal candidate is an energetic leader with excellent clinical, teaching, supervisory, and interpersonal skills who is comfortable leading a multidisciplinary team of clinicians. Ideal candidates also possess a skillset appropriate for the management of acute psychiatric patients with attention to service excellence.
Job Description
- Provide clinical leadership and direct care for the inpatient unit
- Lead a multidisciplinary team of clinicians
- Manage acute psychiatric patients with a focus on service excellence
Requirements
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Psychiatry
- ACGME approved residency training
- Eligible for a NYS medical license
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience preferred, but new graduates with the appropriate combination of experience and skills are encouraged to apply
