Job Description:

• Novant Health is a nonprofit organization with 19 medical centers and over 2,000 physicians across 850+ locations, including outpatient surgery centers, medical plazas, rehab programs, diagnostic imaging centers, and community health outreach initiatives.
• Novant Health Cancer Institute seeks an exceptional, collaborative physician leader to join their program as the Coastal Market Leader for Oncology/Hematology.

Opportunity Highlights:

• The Coastal Market is a division of Novant Health Cancer Institute, including over 100 specialists in 30+ locations across North Carolina.
• The program promotes disease sub-specialization, team-based multi-disciplinary care, and access to clinical trials.
• Provider will be on active medical staff with Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center and part of Novant Medical Group.

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Involves administrative (.4 FTE) and clinical (.6 FTE) duties.
• Lead a group of 30+ providers at 7 clinic locations and collaborate with the market leadership and administration of 3 hospitals in the region.
• Partnered with an administrative dyad, responsible for the quality, safety, patient experience, financial growth, and strategy objectives of the market.

Requirements:

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Medical Oncology and/or Hematology.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a physician leader is ideal, with encouraged continued formal development as a leader in this role.
