Medical Oncologist

Novant Health Cancer Institute is seeking a medical oncologist to lead our GI Malignancy program in Charlotte, NC. This is an exciting leadership opportunity in a growing program that is rising to meet the needs of the evolving health care environment at a fully accredited integrated network cancer program that includes the full spectrum of comprehensive support programs. Novant Health has seen tremendous growth over the past 5 years, especially in the Cancer Institute, and our footprint has spread across the state guaranteeing continued growth. The position is located in a brand new multi-million dollar Cancer Institute building located in uptown Charlotte. We value clinical research, and significant investment has been made to expand services including benign and malignant hematology, stem cell transplant, cellular therapy, and integrative medicine for patient-centered care. The applicant would join the existing specialists who are committed to providing a remarkable experience to our patients.

Job Description

• Patient population 18+

Requirements

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Medical Oncology
• The prospective candidate should be comfortable working with colorectal surgery, hepatobiliary surgery, radiation/oncology, and other GI specific subspecialists.
• A strong interest in clinical research as well as experience in early phase (Phase I) clinical research preferred, but not mandatory for this position.
