Job Description:

• Conduct clinical assessments for veterans
• No evenings, no call, no prescribing, low patient volume
• Flexible work schedule: choose when you want to work
• Fulfilling President Lincoln's promise by serving and honoring America's veterans

Benefits:

• Flexible schedule: work 0.1-5 days per week or just 1 day every few months
• Compensation of $120-$900 per veteran assessment, averaging $130-200/hr
• Typically see only 4-10 veterans a day
• Work from your own office or an office of your choice

About the Physician Role:

• Perform disability assessments on Veterans for the VA
• Review Veteran medical records and conduct detailed history-taking
• No prescribing/non-treating role with low liability
• Veterans appreciate the provided care

Ideal Physician:

• Investigative in nature, aims to understand veterans' claims
• Focused on one patient at a time
• Capable of handling complex documentation

Background:

• Open to any type of physician: IM, FM, EM, Occupational Health, Geriatrician, Hospitalist, etc.
• BE/BC preferred, not required
