Attention MRI Technologists looking to join a dynamic and growing hospital system. The Danbury Hospital is seeking an MRI Technologist for its Day/Evening shift. This role requires weekend availability on Saturday days and willingness to cover holidays and call rotation. This is a union position that offers very competitive rates and provides an opportunity to supplement income while working weekends with passionate teammates. Candidates with ARRT certification and at least 1 year of experience are urged to apply. Our ideal candidate will have 3 years of MRI experience with an ultrasound or CT scan background. Job Description

• Performs high-quality diagnostic and accurate MRI procedures to help physicians in the care of their patients.
• Provides optimum patient care.
• Demonstrates knowledge and technical expertise to safely and correctly operate MRI equipment.
• Performs and records daily QA.
• Develops skills to practice in a safe clinical environment.
• Develops skills in contrast administration.
• Demonstrates self-direction and utilizes problem-solving techniques.
• Cross-trained in another modality.
• Maintains technical competency in less frequent order procedures (2 or more years of experience).
• Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in MRI.
• Desired: 3 years of experience in MRI; background in ultrasound or CT scan.
• Essential: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification as a Radiographer.
• Education: High school graduate or equivalent.
