We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality respiratory care to patients in various settings, including ICU, acute care, and critical care environments. You will play a vital role in assessing patient needs, administering treatments, and monitoring vital signs to ensure optimal respiratory function.

Job Description

• Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine respiratory needs and develop appropriate care plans.
• Administer respiratory therapies, including oxygen therapy, nebulizer treatments, and mechanical ventilation support.
• Monitor and interpret vital signs to evaluate patient status and response to treatment.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Educate patients and their families on respiratory health management and the use of equipment.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, treatments, and outcomes in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Participate in emergency medicine procedures as needed, ensuring readiness for critical situations.
• Provide specialized care for geriatric patients and those in the PICU or Level II Trauma Center settings.

Requirements

• Current license as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of practice.
• 2 years respiratory therapy experience required.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy related to respiratory function and critical care practices.
• Familiarity with patient assessment techniques and emergency medicine protocols.
• Experience working with diverse patient populations, including geriatrics and critically ill patients.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
