Job Description
- Provide primary health care and perform selective medical services under the direction of a physician.
- Take medical history, assess medical conditions, and interpret findings.
- Prepare and maintain records and dictate reports.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, families, and medical staff.
- Conduct clinical evaluation and documentation of patients: prepare new patients in clinic and manage own clinic for patient follow-up appointments.
- Perform hospital rounding and patient evaluation: evaluate new consults at clinical sites, H & P, and discharge summaries.
- Handle physicians' pager calls when the physician is in procedures as directed by the physician.
- Work flexible hours including some weeks with extra hours and some days with early or late hours.
Requirements

Nurse Practitioner: National certification from a national certifying body acceptable by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing in Adult Gerontology Acute Care (AG-AC NP) or Acute Care. Current BLS certification required. ACLS certification within 60 days of hire.

Physician's Assistant: Baccalaureate degree or a minimum of two years of college credit or graduate from an ARC-PA approved program. Current license as a Physician Assistant with the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure.

Clinical Nurse Specialist: Completion of a formal program of study approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing designed to prepare registered nurses to perform in an expanded role in health care delivery. National certification from a national certifying body acceptable by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing in Acute Care.

Licensure/Certification: Current BLS certification required. ACLS certification within 60 days of hire.

Experience: Cardiology experience preferred.
