    Associate Market Clinical Director

    Join our dynamic team as an Associate Market Clinical Director in Chicago, IL, with a compensation package exceeding $420,000 plus full benefits.

    Job Description

    • Directly supervise, performance manage, and train Clinical Directors within the assigned market.
    • Accountable for center performance objectives, P&L, growth, and culture.
    • Allocate time to direct patient care as a PCP and/or other clinical duties while also focusing on leadership responsibilities.
    • Ensure successful clinical operations and meeting/exceeding plan market earnings.
    • Manage, mentor, and coach Medical Directors to deliver outstanding clinical outcomes.
    • Oversee talent development of PCPs, NPs, and Medical Directors in assigned centers.
    • Cultivate a center-level physician culture aligned with core values and service standards.
    • Participate in recruiting and interviewing PCP and specialist candidates.
    • Establish and support relationships with payers, specialists, the community, and hospitals.
    • Monitor overall market culture and respond to workplace concerns.
    • Review/approve center-level referrals and provide backup for market referral and delegated utilization authorizations.

    Requirements

    • MD or DO in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, or similar specialty required.
    • A minimum of 2 years clinical experience required; 3 years preferred.
    • Strongly prefer one (1) year previous experience as Medical Director or equivalent with a Medicare or Medicaid patient population.
    • Board eligibility is required; board certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, or similar is preferred.
    • Current, active license to practice medicine in the state of employment.
    • High performing physician with a proven track record of clinical leadership experience.
    • Experience with population risk management or complex chronic disease care management.
    • Experience working with interdisciplinary teams in quality improvement and/or medical/healthcare leadership activities preferred.

    Benefits

    • Salary: Base $325,000-$350,000 plus 30% bonus.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    • Excellent clinical skills and knowledge of managed care delivery systems.
    • Strong analytical skills and ability to build relationships with external organizations.
    • Conflict management and resolution skills.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
    • Comfortable with electronic medical records (EMR) and keyboarding.
    • Ability to travel locally, regionally, and nationally up to 30% of the time.
    • Spoken and written fluency in English.

    Other Duties

    • Assist Regional President with market quality and performance improvement initiatives.
    • Oversee monthly scorecard reviews and deliver quarterly clinical metric analysis.
    • Develop deep relationships with providers and key stakeholders in the market.
    • Deliver outstanding clinical outcomes and service to patient panel as a PCP (20% of time).

    This role requires the use and exercise of independent judgment.
