    Interventional Pain Management Physician

    The Orlando Health Medical Group invites you to explore an Interventional Pain Management opportunity with a thriving physician-led, professionally managed healthcare system. We provide patient care services in Orlando Health's network of 9 hospitals across central Florida and our multidisciplinary Neuroscience Institute.

    Job Description

    • Support Orlando Health Neuroscience Institute's 50% inpatient and 50% outpatient services.
    • Manage medications, physical therapy, or interventional procedures.
    • Educate patients about pain management techniques and self-care strategies.
    • Monitor and adjust treatment plans based on patient responses and progress.
    • Consult with inpatients for acute or chronic care.
    • Communicate and coordinate with multiple specialties.

    Requirements

    • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Pain Management/or PM&R or Neuro or Anesthesia or Palliative Care.
    • Fellowship trained in Interventional Pain Management preferred but not required.
    • Minimum of 1 year experience as an Interventional Pain Management Physician.
    • Florida Medical License or ability to obtain Florida Medical License.
    • Must be able to do lumbar intervention treatment.
    • Must be able to evaluate and treat acute pain patients.

    Orlando Health Neuroscience Institute offers patients a multidisciplinary approach to care that comprises consultative services, sophisticated diagnostic testing capabilities, and both noninvasive and advanced surgical treatment options. A highly skilled team of more than 40 physicians and 20 advanced practice providers deliver a superior level of care in more than 15 areas of specialty, including brain tumors, epilepsy, functional neurosurgery, headache and facial pain, interventional pain, movement disorders, multiple sclerosis, neuromuscular disease, neuropsychology and behavioral health, rehabilitation, spine surgery, and vascular neurology/neurosurgery.

    The institute delivers the most advanced neurological care available, including serving the area's only Level I Trauma Center at Orlando Health Orlando Regional Medical Center (ORMC). Its team has achieved Joint Commission stroke certification at six Orlando Health facilities, including the only Advanced Comprehensive Stroke Center in Central Florida at Orlando Health ORMC, which provides the highest level of stroke expertise with four neurovascular neurosurgeons and 24/7 coverage by vascular neurologists. The program also has earned Joint Commission core certification in spine surgery and partners with Orlando Health Cancer Institute in a neuro-oncology/brain and spine tumor program.

    In addition to clinical excellence, the institute maintains a strong focus on research and education, with a robust research program supporting participation in ongoing studies and clinical trials to improve outcomes and an established neurology residency program and future neurosurgery residency program.

    The institute offers both inpatient and outpatient services and more than 10 practice locations across Central Florida. A planned state-of-the-art facility anticipated to open in 2024 will be the new home of Orlando Health Neuroscience Institute, serving patients throughout the southeastern United States.
