Job Description
- Prepare patients for radiologic procedures
- Explain all procedures to patients, ensuring all of their questions are answered
- Protect patients from unnecessary exposure to radiation by utilizing shielding equipment
- Take x-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety
- Document patient care services in charts
- Import outside imaging to office PACS
- Scan documents into EMR
- Maintain accurate QC logs and service records, maintain and monitor dosimetry badges, etc. as required by state and federal regulations
- Ensure equipment is in working order, maintain radiology supplies, and report any malfunctions
Requirements
- 1 - 2 years of Radiology experience, preferably in a busy orthopedic practice or hospital
- Completion of an approved American College of Radiology Technologist Program
- Certificate of Medical Imaging Modality by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT)
- Arizona State license from the Medical Radiologic Technologist Board of Examiners (MRTBE)
- Maintain CPR certification
