Job Description

• Prepare patients for radiologic procedures
• Explain all procedures to patients, ensuring all of their questions are answered
• Protect patients from unnecessary exposure to radiation by utilizing shielding equipment
• Take x-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety
• Document patient care services in charts
• Import outside imaging to office PACS
• Scan documents into EMR
• Maintain accurate QC logs and service records, maintain and monitor dosimetry badges, etc. as required by state and federal regulations
• Ensure equipment is in working order, maintain radiology supplies, and report any malfunctions

Requirements

• 1 - 2 years of Radiology experience, preferably in a busy orthopedic practice or hospital
• Completion of an approved American College of Radiology Technologist Program
• Certificate of Medical Imaging Modality by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT)
• Arizona State license from the Medical Radiologic Technologist Board of Examiners (MRTBE)
• Maintain CPR certification
