Job Description

• Perform radiographic procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail.
• Responsible for performing technical procedures that may require independent judgment with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis.
• Perform patient intake by collecting medical history and answer patient questions regarding the imaging procedure.
• Follow specific instructions from providers on what areas to image and guide patients through the imaging process safely and comfortably.
• Operate imaging equipment proficiently and have a firm understanding of the anatomy and physiology of the human body.
• Demonstrate knowledge of proper imaging techniques in all patient populations and may confer with providers on the results of imaging tests and collaborate to determine whether additional images are required.

Requirements

• Completion of a formal Radiography program with an associated certificate or degree.
• ARRT Registration is required at hire or within 2 years of hire after sitting for registration within 6 months of hire.
• American Heart Association (BLS) certification.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience with routine diagnostic procedures in General Radiology.
• Previous experience in a customer service/patient experience setting.
• Care Coordination/Transitions, Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), or Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) certification.

Compensation

Expected pay for this position is $27.26 - $35.67/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills, and internal equity. This is an hourly position.
