Special Procedures Tech I

Job Description:

• Assist physicians with arteriograms and other specialized radiologic procedures under sterile technique.
• Prepare examination area and position patients for procedures.
• Operate complex radiology equipment in accordance with established techniques and routines.
• Assist physicians by passing materials and taking exposures as directed.
• Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care appropriate to the ages of the patients served.

Requirements:

• Education: Associates
• Licenses/Certifications: IEMA licensure Radiology and ARRT registered, BLS - American Heart Association
• Experience: Completion of 2 years training at an approved school of radiologic technology
• Other skills/knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous patient care experience
