    Job Description:

    • 20 days of inpatient hospitalist coverage per month, split between two providers
    • Rotating: 5 days on, 15 days off
    • Average daily census: 10-12
    • Inpatient Hospitalist Duties: Rounding and admissions
    • Lead or participate in daytime codes
    • ED handles overnight emergencies but may contact for closed-loop communication or follow-ups
    • Credentialing required for inpatient pediatrics
    • Includes care for well and sick babies

    • Evident

    Support Staff & Resources:

    • 3 employed hospitalists in the group
    • 24-hour ED coverage
    • OB/GYN and Certified Nurse Midwives available for newborn care (NRP and well-baby care)
    • 24-hour respiratory therapy
    • Onsite radiology (business hours) with interventional radiology support
    • 24-hour general and orthopedic surgery coverage

    Requirements:

    • Active Alaska medical license
    • Board Certification preferred
