Cardiothoracic Critical Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

We are hiring several experienced Cardiothoracic Critical Care Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants on Long Island, NY! You will be practicing at the top end of the scope. Practice at the highest extent of your license in a very high acuity environment! (And we will train those with ICU backgrounds.)

Job Description

• Full-time permanent placements as well as part-time and full-time openings as a locum
• Cover the Cardiovascular ICU 100% of the time in the ICU
• Work 3 12-hour shifts per week, with blocked shifts for days and night shifts
• Cases include all open heart procedures from CABGs to valves, plus heart and lung transplants
• Serve as the tertiary center for all cases requiring MCS support, including LVADs and ECMO
• Advanced practice providers care for all patients mentioned above, perform all invasive lines, chest tubes, IABPs, assist with cannulation of ECMO, and much of the management is driven by the advanced practice provider team
