Job Description:
- Provide health care for patients in designated primary or specialty areas.
- Serve as a resource and role model for clinical practice, training, evaluation, and management of practitioners and students.
- Assist leadership in assessing, planning, organizing, and implementing designated advanced practice provider activities.
Requirements:

Education:
- Physician Assistant: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university and completion of an accredited Physician Assistant Program.
- Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN): Master's Degree in Nursing accredited through the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing, Inc. (ACEN).

Experience:
- 2+ years of clinical experience as an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) in any field.
- Equivalent experience may substitute for education requirements.

Certification/Registration/Licensure:
- Required tests for placement as applicable.

Skills or Special Abilities:
- Provide care in accordance with the State of Texas Nursing Practice Act or Texas Medical Board Rules.
- Demonstrate leadership ability, effective communication, and patient-centered behaviors.
- Knowledge of Parkland policies, structure, procedures, and mission.
Responsibilities:
- Perform clinical practitioner duties in designated specialty areas.
- Record health history, findings, and treatments accurately and manage time effectively.
- Include patients and/or families in determining the plan of care and educate to ensure compliance.
- Support interdisciplinary collaboration to promote positive health outcomes.
- Identify work processes and suggest changes to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
- Assist in developing and monitoring goals and objectives for the department.
