    Licensed Practical Nurse (Pediatrics)

    Join our team at Pediatric Specialty Care in Point Pleasant, PA (Bucks County), where we are seeking dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to assist in ensuring the general health and well-being of assigned individuals by providing direct nursing care.

    Job Description

    • Actively participate in the planning and delivery of care to all assigned individuals.
    • Administer medications and treatments to assigned individuals as ordered by the physician, utilizing the 5 rights of medication administration.
    • Perform and promote timely and accurate documentation.
    • Assist in performing accurate, thorough, and timely completion of nursing admission evaluations and re-evaluations of individual care needs.
    • Document as required in care plans, nursing notes, medical administration records, treatment records, and other necessary records.
    • Provide evaluation of needs for individual care planning information as necessary and as requested by nurses and other health care disciplines.
    • Perform all position duties according to safety rules and standards of practice required for this position.
    • Report any unusual symptoms, changes of condition, daily needs, and progress of individuals to the Director of Nursing, Assistant Director of Nursing, RN Supervisor, and/or licensed professional.
    • Contact MD/NP/PA for orders or updates according to individual's response to treatment plan and/or situation.
    • Participate in Change-of-Shift Report and ensure nursing personnel of the next shift are updated regarding the care and needs of individuals.
    • Communicate with RN and the individual's health care team members to seek guidance when the individual's care needs exceed LPN scope of practice or if the individual's condition deteriorates.
    • Attend and participate in orientation and in-service training prior to performing tasks that are new or that the RN does not feel competent performing.
    • Attend and participate in continuing education programs designed to keep staff abreast of changes in the profession, company policies/procedures, and completion of all annual mandatory education.
    • Serve as a role model and represent the organization in a manner that conveys professionalism, confidentiality, courtesy, conduct, honesty, fairness, personal integrity, and respect for the fundamental rights, dignity, personal comfort, and privacy of others.
    • Participate in quality improvement, clinical, and safety programs upon request.

    Requirements

    • Credentials as a Licensed Practical Nurse with a current state license in good standing for the state in which work is performed.
    • Valid, current BLS/CPR and First Aid certification.
    • Must be at least 21 years of age.
    • Training and work experience in a pediatric setting preferred.
    • Meets the qualifications of a Child Care Supervisor as described in 55 Pa. Code Chapter 3800.
    • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at an intermediate or more advanced level.

    Benefits
