Job Description

• Assist nurses in delivering high-quality care to our pediatric residents.
• Provide hands-on support with daily living activities, ensuring comfort and dignity.
• Foster a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children and families.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver the best outcomes.
• Provide individuals with Activities of Daily Living (ADL) care and services including changing bed/crib linens, assisting with bowel and bladder functions, and transporting individuals.
• Document all provided services in the individual's medical record.
• Prepare individuals for meals and assist with serving and feeding as indicated in the individual's care plan.
• Complete clinical duties including performing range of motion, emptying ostomy bags, and obtaining vital signs following training and competency assessment.
• Perform routine housekeeping duties before leaving work area for breaks or at the end of the workday.
• Report all changes in the individual's condition to the supervisor as soon as possible.
• Consistently demonstrate the ability to respond to changing situations in a flexible manner.
• Show respect for personal possessions of individuals and help maintain an orderly environment on the nursing unit.
• Observe and practice confidentiality of individuals' information and privacy when performing job duties.
• Provide activities that enhance self-esteem and maintain or improve physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being.
• Assist with loading/unloading individuals from vehicles as necessary.
• May be responsible for the safe transport of children to appointments in a PSC owned vehicle.
• Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest, and positive emphasis.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Possesses and maintains current, valid CPR/First Aid certification.
• Current, valid driver license.
• Proficiency with computer programs and applications preferred.
• Nursing Assistant/Medical Assistant Certification preferred.
• This position requires regular interaction with residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors. The employee must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at an intermediate or more advanced level.

Benefits

• Competitive base rate starting at $19.00 per hour.
• Sign-on bonus: $6,000 for full-time and $3,000 for part-time.
