Job Title: Nephrologist

Location: Central NY Region

Job Description:

• Join an established group of 4 Nephrologists and 2 APP's in an inpatient position
• 100% Nephrology practice
• 26 weeks of Nephrology coverage per year
• Consult service; patient admissions are through the hospitalist and surgical teams
• Typically 2-5 new consults per day with an average of 12-17 total patient touches per day
• Provide CRRT support to critically ill patients
• Peritoneal dialysis & hemodialysis to inpatients
• Can perform kidney biopsies if desired; Interventional Radiology available
• No outpatient dialysis patients
• Dialysis units are owned and operated by the hospital
• Support from all medical and surgical subspecialties
• Potential for faculty appointment with Columbia
• Daily interaction with medical students as well as Internal Medicine and Transitional residents
• Group employed model
• EMR: EPIC
