    Staff RN, Med/Surg, Stroke

    Join our dynamic team as a Staff RN in the Med/Surg, Stroke unit at Piedmont Newnan. The 6th floor is a 38-bed medical surgical/stroke nursing unit that cares for adult to geriatric patients. The nurses manage the care of acute medical surgical patients with a wide range of diagnoses and care needs. Through an interdisciplinary approach, we collaborate to provide excellent, individualized care for our patients. With a goal of a 1:5-6 nurse to patient ratio and the assistance of PCTs and other ancillary departments, we work to deliver high-quality patient-centered care.

    Job Description

    • Provide nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care for patients.
    • Function within the framework of the policies and procedures of the organization and demonstrate professional growth and accountability.
    • Responsible for maintaining standards of practice and coordinating patient care activities of all assigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care.

    Requirements

    • Graduate of a nursing program.
    • New graduates of a nursing program are eligible.
    • Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License. BLS certification required.
    • Advanced certification in field of specialty and nursing experience in a hospital setting preferred.
    • Bachelor's degree preferred.
