    Job Description:

    • This position is PRN, mostly Saturdays but some during the week if needed.
    • Perform diagnostic procedures for patients using an MRI Machine under general supervision.
    • Responsible for patient safety and the performance of high-quality MR studies.
    • Insure effective communication with customers, including radiologists as necessary.

    Position Requirements:

    • Responsible for patient safety, including pre-screening for contra-indications and aseptic injection technique.
    • Produce high-quality diagnostic images.
    • Order supplies and clean the workspace.
    • Effectively communicate with customers, doctors, and/or other staff members.
    • Train new MRI Techs and/or support staff.

    Requirements:

    • Graduation from a Certified Radiologic Technology program.
    • Current certification ARRT(R) or ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT.
    • Current BLS certification.

    Physical Guidelines:

    • Ability to be exposed to minimal radiation.
    • Ability to stand/walk for up to eight or more hours/day.
    • Ability to bend, stoop, and twist.
    • Assist patients in turning and arising from the exam table.
    • Push wheelchair patients and assist them in rising from and returning to the wheelchair.

    • Excellent telephone skills and etiquette.
    • Maintains confidentiality.
    • Knowledge of infection control, sterile technique, and basic health and safety precautions applicable for work in a clinic setting.

    Organizational Relationships:

    • Accountable to the Imaging Manager.
