Pediatric Emergency Medicine - Leadership Position
Affiliated with a large academic center and growing healthcare network, a dedicated Pediatric Hospital is looking for a dynamic leader to expand and lead the Pediatric Emergency Medicine Department. The candidate will take the lead in developing the Pediatric Emergency Medicine Department for the Pediatric Hospital.
The Pediatric Hospital has 35 full-time physicians with a full complement of pediatric sub-specialists. It is a $30 million facility with a 36-bed Level III NICU, a 25-bed General Pediatrics Inpatient Unit, a 10-bed PICU, and a Neonatal Therapeutic Unit. The Emergency Department was recently remodeled with the creation of a separate 8-bed pod and waiting area for pediatric emergency patients. The ED averages 11,000 pediatric patients per year, serving a 29-county area.
The medical school offers training in 10 residency and 14 fellowship programs, with over 250 residents/fellows on campus working alongside 400 providers in 75 areas of primary and specialty care. There are residency programs in both Pediatrics and Internal Medicine/Pediatrics, as well as fellowship programs in Pediatric Hospital Medicine and Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.
The healthcare network includes over 750 beds across two teaching hospitals and a Pediatric Hospital committed to improving the health of over 1 million children and adults. An academic appointment will be commensurate with experience and training. Clinical research interests are encouraged. The facility uses Cerner Electronic Medical Records.

Requirements
- MD or DO Medical Degree
- Eligible to be state licensed in the United States
