    Medical Director Pediatric Surgery

Hoops Family Children’s Hospital at Cabell Huntington Hospital, part of the Marshall Health Network, provides multidisciplinary support from pediatric hospitalists, neonatologists, and pediatric anesthesia.

    Job Description

    • $750K base salary with a lucrative sign-on bonus plus occurrence-based malpractice
    • Board Eligible/Certified in Pediatric Surgery by the American Board of Surgery
    • Eligibility for an unrestricted West Virginia Medical License
    • Demonstrated commitment to clinical excellence, patient safety, and quality improvement, along with a collaborative spirit and the ability to work effectively across disciplines and departments
    • Both the General Surgery Department and Pediatric Department are looking for a dynamic Pediatric Surgeon to grow and develop the Pediatric Surgery Department
    • Pediatric Hospital has a 36-bed Level III Neonatal Intensive Care unit, a 25-bed general Pediatrics unit, and a 10-bed Pediatric Intensive Care and Neonatal Therapeutic unit
    • General Surgery department with 23 faculty members including General Surgery, Trauma/Critical Care, Plastic/Reconstructive Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Thoracic Surgery, and Otolaryngology Surgery
    • 100% Pediatric Surgery
    • Pediatric Department of 35 Full-Time Physicians with a full complement of Pediatric Sub-Specialists
    • Medical School offers training in 10 residency and 14 fellowship programs with over 250 residents/fellows on campus working alongside 400 providers in 75 areas of primary and specialty care
    • Fully accredited General Surgery residency with four graduates annually
    • Residency programs in both Pediatrics and Internal Medicine/Pediatrics and fellowship programs in Pediatric Hospital Medicine and Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine
    • 750+ bed healthcare network includes two teaching hospitals and a Pediatric hospital committed to improving the health of over 1 million children and adults
    • Fully accredited Level II Trauma Center
    • Academic appointment commensurate with experience and training
