    Job Description

    • Basic patient care under the direction of nursing staff.
    • Perform duties such as feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming, or moving patients, or changing linens.
    • Reviewing and interpreting patient medical histories.
    • Administering injections, medications, or other therapies to patients.
    • Recording and monitoring patient vital signs.
    • Assisting patients with getting up, getting into and out of bed, chair, etc.
    • Getting patients ready for surgery by checking vital signs, administering medications, or performing other prescribed treatments.
    • Following proper post-operative care instructions to include but not limited to dressing and bandaging changes, meal preparation, etc.
    • Keeping the treatment room clean and assisting with other duties as assigned by management.
    • Adhering to HIPAA regulations regarding confidential business information and personal health information.
    • Other duties as assigned by management.

    Requirements

    • Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant in accordance with the laws of the state.
    • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
    • Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of the residents served.
    • Must be a supportive team member, contribute to and be an example of teamwork and team concept.
    • Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents.
    • Must be able to relate information concerning a resident's condition.
    • Proven working experience as a licensed professional nurse or medical assistant preferred but not required.
    • Current CPR certification required.
    • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
    • Willingness to travel to out-of-town sites as needed required.
    • Ability to work well under pressure from last-minute emergencies.
    • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills required.
