    Job Description

    • Nursing is a profession within the health care sector focused on the care of individuals, families, and communities to attain, maintain, or recover optimal health and quality of life.
    • Admitting new residents
    • Helping physicians during rounds of residents' rooms
    • Assigning and delegating duties to non-licensed nursing staff
    • Monitoring resident care and supervising other nursing staff
    • Performing ongoing assessments of residents' physical and mental health
    • Explaining procedures and treatment protocols to residents
    • Perform specimen collection and processing procedures
    • Administer basic IV therapy under the supervision of a registered nurse
    • Assist in discharge planning and patient education
    • Provide nursing care for patients receiving Botox injections
    • Support occupational health programs and provide care for injured workers
    • Assist with the management of durable medical equipment (DME)
    • Provide specialized care for patients with special needs
    • Demonstrate proficiency in aseptic technique and suture removal
    • Assist with airway management as needed

    Requirements

    • Active New Jersey Licensed Practical Nursing License
    • Long-term care experience (preferred)
    • Minimum of experience as an LPN
    • Experience in specimen collection and processing preferred
    • Proficiency in basic IV therapy administration
    • Familiarity with discharge planning procedures
    • Knowledge of Botox administration and patient care
    • Understanding of occupational health practices and protocols
    • Experience managing durable medical equipment (DME)
    • Ability to provide specialized care for patients with special needs
    • Proficiency in aseptic technique and suture removal procedures
    • Familiarity with airway management techniques
