Emergency Medicine Physician

Join our team as an Emergency Medicine Physician for the assignment from February to July 2024. This position offers shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM and 7 PM to 7 AM, providing a dynamic work environment.

Job Description

• Provide coverage for emergency department shifts with an approximate volume of 18 hours of physician coverage.
• Work alongside advanced practice providers (APP) who cover from 11 AM to 9 PM daily.
• Manage an admission rate of 8%, a transfer rate of 2.5%, and an AMA rate of 1.2%.
• Respond to EMS arrivals, which account for 12.5% of cases.

Requirements

• Physician must be board-certified (BC) or board-eligible (BE).
• Physician must have an active Alabama license.
• Emergency Medicine trained candidates will need ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications; non-Emergency Medicine trained candidates will need ATLS certification.
