Psychiatrist

Seeking a Psychiatrist for locums or permanent assignment. This position is available ASAP and ongoing, with shifts from Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. There is no call required, and the role is outpatient only.

Job Description

• Scheduled hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with no call (could be open to arrangements for inpatient weekend coverage but not required).
• Manage 10-12 patients per day with RN and NP support.
• Generally allot an hour for new evaluations and 20 minutes for follow-ups; no history and physicals required.
• Primarily work with an adult population, but the ability to see children and adults is a plus.
• Scope of practice includes PHP/IOP/Medication Monitoring.
• Clinical areas include anxiety disorders, affective disorders, ADD/ADHD, personality disorders, eating disorders, developmental disorders, and psychotic disorders.
• Treatment techniques involve pharmacotherapy; does not need to perform involuntary commitments, seclusion therapy, or restraints.
• Safety/security measures include a small outpatient program for partial hospital and intensive outpatient programming. All staff have access to walkie-talkies in a low acuity environment.
